About Vinery, Ltd. in Lexington Kentucky
Our 440 acre Kentucky farm, with its gently rolling pastures and rich soil, provides the ideal conditions to raise equine athletes. We provide support and services for breeders from the time their mares are bred, through foaling, and on through sales or racing preparation. Vinery's confidence in its strong roster of stallions is evidenced by the support that we give them with our quality broodmares, our commitment to their offspring in the sales ring and our purchasing of individuals for our international racing stables.
Our racing partners and boarding clientele enjoy their time on the farm visiting their horses. Our guest house provides all the modern amenities with a tranquil country atmosphere. The farm's experienced staff gives each client the knowledge they seek regarding their four-footed investments. Our commitment to our breeders, owners and partners on an individual basis is our first priority.
We take immense pride in our stallion roster as we have a diverse group of horses that appeal to a multitude of breeders' needs:
MORE THAN READY An International star, the sire of 175 stakes horses, including three Breeders' Cup winners of 2010/2011. No other U.S. stallion had more G1 blacktype winners in 2011.
CONGRATS A.P. Indy's first Champion sire, with 18 stakes horses, 4 G1 two-year-olds, and earners of more than $4,500,000 from his first crop alone.
PURE PRIZE Selected as one of Bill Oppenheim's value sires for 2012. He is the only top 10 Juvenile Sires of 2011 standing for under $10,000. For his career, he has sired 82 stakes horses, 35 SWs, 14 Graded SWs. His most recent two-year-old crop yielded 21 winners, 8 stakes horses, four SWs, earners of $1.3 million.
LIMEHOUSE With 9 SWs, three 2YO Breeders' Cup contenders and a Champion in his first two crops, he has firmly established his ability to sire quality.
PIONEEROF THE NILE Millionaire Grade 1 winner and Kentucky Derby (G1) runner-up bred more than 200 mares his first two seasons, and has already sired the highest-priced yearling by a first-year stallion in 2012 - $200,000. Pedigree specialist Frank Mitchell said he "Should provide size and Classic potential to his progeny."
KODIAK KOWBOY Champion juvenile and Champion sprinter, millionaire by a Champion Sire won G1 races at 6f, 7f and 8f. Pedigree analyst Frank Mitchell notes that "with his balance and very good mechanics, he should be a good fit for many mares". First foals are yearlings in 2012.
STREET HERO The only triple Grade 1 juvenile by the exceptional Street Cry, this Grade 1 winner was the only horse to beat Champion Midshipman at two, and was rated 4th on the Experimental Free H. He sire $100,000 yearlings at FTK July and Keeneland - first 2 year-olds race in 2012.
